Feed me, see more: a journey into why the body bodies and how to eat food more effectively

It feels like a cliché to be blogging what I ate today. But there comes a time in everyone's life when you are tired of being tired. After age 40, eating some vegetables and going on walks is not enough. I'm writing this blog not just to look at what I am eating, but to keep track of how it affects my body. I'm not doing portions or measurements because this is not for calorie counting. Hopefully it will still be of use to myself and others. So, here's what I already know: onions, tomatoes and garlic aren't great for people with IBS. Buddhist monks eschew alliums for various reasons, but mainly because they upset the stomach or cause gas. Last year, for over a month I tried to live a live without alliums.
